Sick children like Cooper need your help
Cooper was just two-and-a-half when he first came to Starship after weeks of illness with no answers. He was rushed there by the Starship Air Ambulance, where the PICU team gave him life-saving care. Over the years, Cooper was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition and became a regular visitor to Starship for treatment. Despite being unwell, he faced it all with courage — loving the helicopters, therapy dogs, and playrooms.
In November 2024, at just seven years old, Cooper sadly passed away. His family honoured his memory by joining Kilometres for Kids, raising $11,000 to support other children needing Starship’s specialist care.
