Rewards

Every kilometre (and every dollar) you raise helps keep Starship’s National Air Ambulance flying — and to celebrate your incredible efforts, there are some special rewards waiting for you along the way!

When you reach fundraising milestones on your individual page, you’ll earn exclusive Kilometres for Kids gear to wear with pride:

Hit $300

to earn your Kilometres for Kids t-shirt and join the Flight Crew.

Raise $500

and you’ll receive a Kilometres for Kids cap

Reach $750

to score a Kilometres for Kids medal and claim your place as a Co-Pilot.

Raise $1,000

or more to join the VIP Captain’s Club and earn a long-sleeved training top. Plus, the top three fundraisers will enjoy an exclusive lunch with a member of the Starship Air Ambulance flight team.

Keep walking, keep fundraising, and see how high you can climb through the ranks!

Fundraising tips

Personalise your fundraising page.

Add a selfie to your profile, this reinforces it’s you, your donors are supporting.

Update the ‘why I’m fundraising’ section.

It doesn’t have to be long and detailed, just a quick word about why you're fundraising for Starship and would appreciate support.

Be the first to donate!

Donating to your own fundraising page shows your supporters you back yourself. Set the bar!

Share and ask – don’t be shy!

Remember people appreciate being asked directly, so make it a personal ask whenever possible.

Feel proud of what you are doing!

Tell everyone you know. What you are doing is truly inspirational, be sure to share this with everyone you know, ask if they’ll help make an impact for Starship kids.

Keep asking

Follow up with all the people you’ve asked for a donation – people are busy, give them a gentle reminder by sharing your progress towards your goal.

Thank every donor

Thank your donors and keep them posted with your progress, they are invested in the cause thanks to your efforts.

How much should people donate?

Let people decide how much they are comfortable to give. During the donation process there are suggested giving amounts to help people decide what level of support they can give.

Use special occasions to fundraise.

Special occasions are a great way to ask for a donation. If you have a birthday or anniversary coming up, ask for a donation to your efforts in lieu of a gift.

Bring your fundraiser to work.

Ask your employer if they will support your efforts to provide better health and brighter futures for Starship kids by matching your donations. Engage your work colleagues to donate to your page or organise a lunchtime fundraiser, e.g. Office Raffle, bake sale, cash up a leave day and donate this amount.

Tax time refund reminder.

Remind your donors that donations are 33% for individuals and 100% tax deductible for businesses.
