This time last year I was in Starship unable to walk. This March I will walk/run 50km to raise funds for this vital service.
In February 2025 I had a horse riding accident resulting in a fractured spine, ruptured aorta, collapsed lung, several other fractures (shoulder, arm & ribs) and a minor tear to my spleen. I was unable to feel below my waist or move my legs.
Starship helped me to heal and get back on my feet. My family and I are so very grateful for the high standard of care I received by the amazing team at Starship.
I am taking on a month long fitness challenge, Kilometres for Kids, to help keep Starship’s National Air Ambulance flying to children across the country who are critically ill or injured.
If you can, please donate to help me raise money for this incredible service, the only flying Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Aotearoa. It’s on call 24/7 – and a specialist flight crew can be in the air in a matter of minutes.
