Kiesmae Puhipi - Kiesmae, was born at just 23 weeks, weighing only a little more than a pound of butter. Her chances of survival were incredibly small. Those were some of the most uncertain and frightening moments our whanau has ever faced. But my girl... she is a fighter. From the very beginning she fought tooth and nail for every breath, every moment, every chance at life. I have always said she is the strongest little girl I have ever known. But she didn't fight alone. The incredible doctors, nurses, and staff who care for our tiniest pépi gave her a chance. Their skill, dedication, and compassion help grant miracles for families every single day. Without the care from these amazing teams, my darling moko may never have had the opportunity to grow, laugh, and experience life the way she does today. We will forever be in awe of the strength of kiesmae, and the strength and heart of the staff who care for these precious babies and their families.

I’m taking on an epic challenge this March in Honour of my Niece Kiesmae Puhipi– and I would love support.

I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge, Kilometres for Kids, to help keep Starship’s National Air Ambulance flying to children across the country who are critically ill or injured.
