My Kilometres for Kids challenge is dedicated to the memory of my son, Jasper

I’m taking on a challenge to raise money for the Starship Air Ambulance

I'm taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help keep the Starship Air Ambulance flying and to help save the lives of sick and injured children all over Aotearoa. Will you donate to support my challenge, and help take my fundraising tally sky high? The Starship National Air Ambulance is New Zealand's only flying Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. It's on call 24/7. A specialist paediatric flight crew can be in the air in a matter of minutes. This is often the only way a seriously ill or injured can get to Starship. But they're counting on your support. That's why I'll be giving it my all this March to help keep the Starship National Air Ambulance flying 24/7. Will you support me? This is personal for me. The Starship Air Ambulance transported Jasper up to Auckland from Dunedin, we couldn’t have got him the care he needed without them.  They were so supportive and I want to help keep them in action for every other family that needs them.

Set back

Monday 9th Mar
Thank you everyone for your huge amount of support.  It blows me away how much you’ve all supported me.  Unfortunately I’ve had a bit of a set back - I’ve broken my back so I have to take everything super slow for the next 6-12 weeks. I’ll still be able to do gentle slow walks, but I’ll struggle to get to my 50km’s.  Sean’s been doing some walking for me to help give me a boost which I really appreciate.  I’m a bit gutted as I was really looking forward to getting fitter!
