I’m taking on an epic challenge this March – and I would love support.

This March, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to support the Starship National Air Ambulance, New Zealand’s only flying Paediatric Intensive Care Unit 👼

The air ambulance operates 24/7 with a specialist paediatric flight crew able to be airborne within minutes. For many critically ill or injured tamariki, this is the only way they can reach Starship for life-saving care.

To sustain this service throughout the year, the Starship Foundation must raise $1.5 million annually. In 2023 alone, the air ambulance flew 195 missions, each one a child fighting for their life.

I’m running this fundraiser because I believe every child deserves the same opportunity to thrive, regardless of their circumstances. My niece and nephew are only a short drive from Starship, but for families in rural Aotearoa, access to specialist care often depends entirely on this aircraft being available. This is about equitable access for all tamariki across the motu.

If you’re able, I’d love your support. Your donation will help keep this life-saving service in the sky and give Kiwi kids the chance they deserve 🩷
