My Kilometres for Kids challenge is dedicated to the celebration of my friend, Willow Sheehan
I’m taking on an epic challenge this March – and I would love support.
I’m doing this for a very personal reason. My friend Willow was hit by a drunk driver and spent a few weeks in a coma at Starship Hospital. Watching someone my age go through something so traumatic really changed my perspective. It made me realise how important it is to support the hospitals and services that care for young people during their hardest moments. I will be eternally grateful for all the amazing workers that did 24 hour care for Willow.
Starship Hospital cares for thousands of children and families every year, providing life-saving treatment, specialist care, and emotional support. The work they do gives families hope when it's most needed. Walking 85km will definitely challenge me, but it’s nothing compared to what kids like Willow go through. Every kilometre I walk is to raise awareness and funds to help other children receive the same incredible care.
