Lilia and Sarah's 150km for kids
I am so grateful to Starship hospital for the amazing care they took of me throughout my childhood. After 5 hip surgeries I went to Starship every Monday for 2 years to help manage my chronic pain. The pain team were amazing and my care consisted of physiotherapy, psychology, medication and balancing activity and rest. This pain management plan was life changing for me and helped me get back to 5 day a week schooling and not living a life controlled by pain. I am now in control of my life even though I still live with pain, and I want to do as much as I can to support the starship team in the amazing work they do.
Me and Mum are taking on a month-long fitness challenge, Kilometres for Kids, to help keep Starship’s National Air Ambulance flying to children across the country who are critically ill or injured, and to raise funds for life saving treatment.
