My Kilometres for Kids challenge is dedicated to my son, Ahurei Young
I’m taking on an epic challenge this March – and I would love support.
I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge, Kilometres for Kids, to help keep Starship’s National Air Ambulance flying to children across the country who are critically ill or injured.
When Ahurei was just one month old, he contracted pertussis (whooping cough). Living rurally, watching him struggle to breathe was the most terrifying time of our lives.
We needed an ambulance to get him urgent care, and in moments like that you realise just how vital emergency services are. Although we didn’t need Starship Air Ambulance, knowing services like this exist for critically ill children and rural families means everything.
That’s why I’m walking **120km in March**
If you’re able to donate it will mean the world every $ counts 🤍
