My Kilometres for Kids challenge is dedicated to the celebration of my son, Aditya Abhishek

I’m taking on an epic challenge this March – and I would love support.

I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge, Kilometres for Kids, to help keep Starship’s National Air Ambulance flying to children across the country who are critically ill or injured.

If you can, please donate to help me raise money for this incredible service, the only flying Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Aotearoa. It’s on call 24/7 – and a specialist flight crew can be in the air in a matter of minutes.

Donate now to help save the lives of Kiwi kids.

Kilometers for Kids: Support Starship Kids Hospital

Tuesday 24th Feb
I’m doing a month-long fitness challenge of 50km walk to raise funds for Auckland Starship Hospital — as a way of giving back to the place that helped my family when we needed it most.

My son was diagnosed with a heart condition, and it was Starship that performed his surgery. During one of the most stressful periods of our lives, the care and compassion from the entire team made a huge difference. Every doctor, nurse, and staff member we met was incredibly supportive, and we’ll always be grateful.

One thing that helped us more than I can explain was the hospital’s separate accommodation building for families. Being able to stay close to my son reduced a big part of the stress — it meant fewer worries about travel and logistics, and more time focused on being there for him.

This 50km walk is my way of saying thank you — and helping Starship continue supporting other children and families going through similar journeys.

If you can donate, no matter the amount, it will help Starship keep providing vital care and family support. If you can’t donate right now, sharing this page also means a lot.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting Auckland Starship Hospital 💙
