Myself because I was a heart kid myself, born with a heart condition, having heart surgeries. I am now 28 and healthier than I’ve ever been. I am doing this for me and all the kids like me.

My Kilometres for Kids challenge is dedicated to the celebration of my loved one, Myself because I was a heart kid myself, born with a heart condition, having heart surgeries. I am now 28 and healthier than I’ve ever been. I am doing this for me and all the kids like me.

Walking for Life — For Starship Kids and Myself

This March, I’m taking on 50km to raise $1,000 for the amazing Starship Foundation.

I’m doing this not just for the incredible kids at Starship Hospital who are fighting every day, but also as a celebration of my own journey. I was one of those kids, and in a way, I still am. Living with a heart condition and having gone through multiple surgeries has been a lifelong battle, and my most recent operation has left me struggling with my mental health more than ever.

Taking on this challenge is my way of getting back out there, of moving forward, and of reminding myself not to give up on the fight, because I’m still here, and I’m still standing. Every kilometre I walk or run this month is a step toward hope, resilience, and life for me and for all the kids at Starship.

Please consider sponsoring me, your support will make a real difference in the lives of children who need it most.
