As most of you know, living on the Chatham Islands presents a unique challenge in emergency situations. We depend on life flights ourselves to get the specialty care we need. Only recently Tessas youngest daughter was flown to the mainland for injuries sustained from an accident. Her son has had two life flights, Tarsh herself, her husband and two children have also been flown on these emergency life flights. And so many more children, adults and even visitors to our Islands. 

We are so grateful to have this service available across the country, these flights are crucial for saving lives.
