Koa Sciascia

My Kilometres for Kids challenge is dedicated to the memory of my friend, Koa Sciascia

I’m taking on an epic challenge this March – and I would love support.

I'm taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help keep the Starship Air Ambulance flying and to help save the lives of sick and injured children all over Aotearoa. The Starship National Air Ambulance is New Zealand's only flying Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. It's on call 24/7. A specialist paediatric flight crew can be in the air in a matter of minutes. This is often the only way a seriously ill or injured can get to Starship.

Many families and members of our communities require this service to provide care and transport for their loved ones in need and hopefully be able to save their lives. Unfortunately for my friend, her baby sadly passed away too young with a rare and severe condition. In memory of baby Koa I take on this challenge with my team to help the starship air ambulance find its way to those who have the fighting chance. Life can change in an instant, lets support each other while we are able to.

They're counting on our support. That's why I'll be giving it my all this March to help keep the Starship National Air Ambulance flying 24/7. Will you support me? Donate now to help save the lives of Kiwi kids.
