My Kilometres for Kids challenge is dedicated to the celebration of my grandchild, Ben
I’m taking on an epic challenge this March – and I would love support.
This March, I’m taking on Kilometres for Kids in honour of our grandson Benjamin 🧸🩵
Benjamin spent three of his first four weeks of life in Starship Hospital. At just three weeks old, he underwent surgery to relieve severe pressure on his kidneys. The surgery was critical in protecting his kidneys and giving him the best possible chance for a healthy future.
Benjamin’s journey with Starship isn’t over. He has more surgeries, scans, and tests ahead, and Starship will continue to be a part of his story.
That’s why every kilometre I move this March is for kids like Benjamin and for the families walking hospital hallways they never expected to be in.
When children arrive at Starship, they’re often facing the scariest moments of their lives. Your donation helps the incredible staff provide not only specialist medical care, but the wraparound support that makes hospital feel a little less frightening for them and their family.
Thats why this March, I'm taking on a month-long fitness challenge, Kilometres for Kids, to support some of the sickest children in Aotearoa - those in Starship Hospital.
✨ Your gift could:
$30 fund a Buzzy Bee device to ease pain and anxiety
$50 help a Play Specialist support a child through treatment
$100 help train specialist paediatric nurses
Every kilometre I move is for these incredible kids — and I'd love your support. Donate here:
