My Kilometres for Kids challenge is dedicated to the honour of my son, Benjamin

I’m taking on an epic challenge this March – and I would love support.

Benjamin spent three of his first four weeks of life in Starship Hospital, undergoing surgery at just three weeks old to relieve dangerous pressure on his kidneys. Those early weeks were filled with uncertainty, countless tests, and incredible care from the doctors and nurses who supported not only Benjamin, but us as parents too.

Thanks to the care he received, Benjamin is now thriving — curious, cheeky, and growing every day. He does, however, have more surgeries, scans, and ongoing care ahead, and Starship will continue to be a huge part of his journey.

I’m doing every kilometre for children like Benjamin, and for the families who find themselves needing Starship when they least expect it. Your support helps ensure these children receive world-class medical care, compassion, and hope when they need it most.
